Play Dates with Emily

Last week Emily got to come over for a morning of fun.  The girls started their day by having a tea party.  When I asked them what they were eating and drinking Emily said, “Coffee and crackers.”  I promise I didn’t really give them coffee!

Emma loves to peek through the fence to our neighbor’s yard- yes we are missing a picket!  Emma and Koby don’t want us to fix the fence though!

2 days after Emily came to our house they invited us to come swimming at their neighborhood pool.  The girls had a great time playing in both the baby pool and the “big girl pool.”  Here are the girls taking a quick snack break.  They devoured the grapes in about 2 minutes!

Swimming Time

Summer time means SWIMMING TIME!  Yippeee!  I’m not sure who loves swimming more, Emma or mommy?

Unfortunately, we don’t have a neighborhood pool  like we did in our previous neighborhood, however, we have several sweet friends who have invited us to come swimming with them.

Last week, we went joined my good friend Carrie and her 3 sweet kiddos for a fun afternoon of swimming.  Carrie and I were good friends in the youth group at church during high school and I’m so glad we’ve kept in touch.  I always have so much fun when we get together.  I’m kicking myself for not getting any pictures of her kids!  She also invited Lorie (also in the youth group with us!) and her little girl Addy to come swimming.  It was great to catch up with Carrie and Lorie.

Ready to go swimming!

Thanks Carrie for inviting us to swim- we had a great time!

Hangin’ Out

Our summer is off to a great start!  Who knew a 2 and half year old’s social calendar could fill up so quickly during the summer?  We’ve been swimming, going to Birthday parties, and spending tons of time outside.

Here are a couple of pictures of Emma and Koby hanging out in Daddy’s office last week.  Koby loves to watch out the window and Emma often goes to sit on the ledge by him.  (little does she know she kind of blocks his view!)

Last weekend we went over the our friends’ house to hang out for the evening.  Emily is about 5 months younger than Emma and they love playing together.  We ate yummy Lanna Thai for dinner then played outside (bubbles, sidewalk chalk, running in the grass, etc.) until the girls were clearly exhausted.  We ended the night by eating ice cream cups and drumstick ice cream cones.  Emma had one of each. :)

Baby Curry is keeping us waiting…

Several of you have already heard but for those who have not, sorry to keep you waiting!  We went to the Dr. last Thursday for our almost 16 week ultrasound and unfortunately, we did not get  a definitive answer about the sex of our baby!  The Dr. made a “guess” but was not 100% sure so we are waiting until our next ultrasound to announce and celebrate.  (Remember with Emma our Dr. told us he thought Emma might be a boy at first, then another ultrasound revealed that she was a girl!  We have learned to wait until they are sure before we announce!)  Our next appt. is July 1st and believe me, I am counting down the days. :)

Looks like the poll on our blog is leaning towards boy… there’s still time to vote if you haven’t voted yet.  :)

Thanks for hanging in there with us!

What's Your Guess?

We could possibly found out the gender of our 2nd child next Thursday, June 4th and I can hardly wait!

Obviously we will only share the news if our Dr. is pretty positive about his observation! With our last pregnancy, we were told that our baby was a boy at 14 weeks, then a girl at 18 weeks! Wow that threw a curve ball in my plans!

I'll be almost 16 weeks at my appointment this time and the Dr. told us he would most likely be able to determine the sex. Yipee!!!

So, I'm curious what everyone else thinks we are having... just because it's fun to guess. Robin and I go back and forth. Robin thinks we're having another girl and I just don't know. Today, I think we're having a boy. We will be overjoyed either way!

So... go to the poll at the top left of our blog page and take a second to put in your vote.

Thanks!

Zoo Trip

Emma and I had the pleasure of meeting some of our playgroup friends at the zoo today.  The weather was a little bit warm but it still made me happy because it felt like the official start of summer.

Emma was tired at the beginning of the zoo trip because she was awake during the night but she still had a great time… she was just very very quiet!

Memorial Day Weekend

We just wrapped up a wonderful 3 day weekend spent with both sides of the family.

Robin’s sister and brother-in-law, Crystal and Tommy (and their dogs Smallz and Max), traveled to Tulsa on Friday night to spend the weekend with us.  We had an awesome time with them hanging out and catching up!  Crystal is expecting their first baby (Baby Zane) in September so this will most likely be their last trip to Tulsa before the baby comes.

Robin’s parents joined us on Sunday afternoon and stayed through Monday.  It was a quick trip for them, but I know Emma really loved seeing them (and Robin and I did too!)

Here are a few pictures from our weekend.

Here is Emma sitting in one of our guest dogs’ beds.  She had so much fun playing with Smallz and Max (I’m bummed that I didn’t get a picture of them together):

Tommy playing the boxing game at Incredible Pizza- he worked up a sweat, burning over 400 calories!  Maybe I should have played this game too!:

Emma really thought she wanted to ride the choo-choo train, but quickly changed her mind after the ride began.  (don’t worry- I rescued her quickly after taking this picture!):

Thanks to all of our family members who traveled to come see us this weekend- we had a great time and we hope you did too!

Thanks also to Aunt Judy and Uncle Ron for a yummy lunch today- we had a great time being with everyone.
